Apple To Produce Hollywood’s New Take on UFO Disclosure

Hollywood heavyweights join forces with a UAP whistleblower as Apple confirms a groundbreaking thriller that promises to blur the line between UFO fiction and government disclosure.

Apple Original Films has confirmed it has acquired a UFO disclosure project for Joseph Kosinski to direct from Jerry Bruckheimer, following a report by Deadline earlier this month about Apple in talks for the project. The announcement breaks a rumor that has been fluttering around the industry, cementing the deal for the unknown package.

Pilot is executive produced by Top Gun director Joseph Kosinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer, who previously teamed on the blockbuster sequel “Top Gun: Maverick” and are currently embroiled in production of “F1,” the upcoming film that is rumored to be based on Formula One racing. Zach Baylin, an Academy Award-nominee, will write the script that will tackle the controversial subject of UAPs (unidentified aerial phenomena), the term that has been adopted to refer to UFOs in government and scientific settings.

Producers for the film are Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman for Jerry Bruckheimer Films and Kosinski via his Monolith shingle. Joining the project as a consultant and associate producer is David Grusch, one of the most prominent names in UAP disclosure circles, lending the film credibility and the potential for authentic elements drawn from real-life UAP investigations and testimonies.

The project is yet another major collaboration between Apple Original Films, Kosinski, and Bruckheimer, who are already working together on the upcoming “F1” racing film starring Brad Pitt. “F1” is a collaboration between Kosinski’s Monolith, Jerry Bruckheimer Films, Plan B Entertainment and seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton’s Dawn Apollo Films banner and developed in association with Formula 1 itself.

The racing film has already obtained worldwide theatrical distribution with Warner Bros. Pictures, which is scheduled for North American release on June 27, 2025, and some international screens a few days earlier, on June 25, 2025. The film will also play in IMAX in ‘premium,’ meaning that the studio has confidence in its commercial and visual merits.

Details about the untitled UFO thriller are sparse, but the pairing of these powerful minds is a testament to Apple’s ability to consistently deliver high-end original programming with the biggest names in the business. Teamup with Grusch in particular suggests the movie could treat its subject matter with a level of authenticity rarely applied to UFO phenomena by Hollywood.
