Z (2019): Movie Review Short 😱😱👤👤👤
— by Darren Marlar
Exclusive to Shudder, “Z“, starring Keegan Connor Tracy starts as off as a cliche cookie-cutter horror film: child has imaginary friend, parents think it’s normal, then kid misbehaves and blames imaginary friend, strange things start happening… you can fill in the blanks. Honestly I was struggling to pay attention to the film when something, err, violent happens (trying to avoid spoilers), and suddenly I’m glued. Just when I think the film is just about over, the writer takes it in a completely unexpected direction. The last third of this film is almost a different film entirely aside from the characters being the same. Aside from the one startling scene though, I found the film too slow moving for my taste.
2 out of 5 screams. 😱😱👤👤👤
