IT FELL FROM THE SKY: The Magnolia… Meteorite?

A mysterious fireball tore through the roof of a New Jersey auto shop in the dead of night — was it a rogue meteorite, space junk, or something not of this world?

In the sleepy town of Magnolia, New Jersey, residents were jolted from their dreams by a thunderous boom that shattered the pre-dawn silence. What crashed through the roof of a local auto shop has left both residents and experts puzzled, as the night sky delivered something unexpected – and potentially otherworldly.

Around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, the sound of what some described as an “explosion” echoed through the quiet streets. When Sebastian Leonardo arrived at his business, S & L Automotive on Atlantic Avenue later that morning, he was greeted by a startling sight: a gaping hole punched through his ceiling.

“A sizable dent in a thick steel gage box,” Leonardo explained, recounting the moment he realized something extraordinary had occurred. “That’s when I went to all of my cameras and found the video.”

The surveillance footage tells a chilling tale – a brilliant flash outside followed by what Leonardo describes as “a giant fireball” tearing through the ceiling, bringing debris raining down into his shop. Numerous doorbell cameras throughout the neighborhood captured the same eerie phenomenon – a flash, a boom, and then darkness.

Astronomer Derrick Pitts of The Franklin Institute noted the event has three of the four hallmarks of something extraterrestrial: “a bright flash, a boom, a hole.” The only missing piece? Actual evidence of an object from beyond our atmosphere.

Residents remain unnerved by the incident. Denise Korejko, who was awakened by the commotion, described the event with wide-eyed wonder: “It was really, really loud. The sky, the big bright light, and the big bang, it was big.”

As the weekend approaches, Leonardo and his team plan to sift carefully through the debris, searching for clues to what might have visited their shop in the dead of night.

“This is really a once-in-a-lifetime thing, I imagine,” Leonardo mused, perhaps not realizing just how rare – and perhaps otherworldly – his visitor might have been.

What crashed through the roof of S & L Automotive? A meteorite? Space debris? Or something more mysterious? For now, the answer remains hidden among the twisted metal and broken ceiling tiles of a small New Jersey auto shop.

Personally, I’m blaming the glam gals from the Blue Origin space ride for littering.
