USA Has Tech to “Manipulate Time and Space?”
A top White House science advisor casually claimed the U.S. can “manipulate time and space” — was it just a metaphor, or a veiled disclosure of secret tech that defies the laws of physics?
In a remarkable speech that has sent shockwaves through conspiracy circles, Michael Kratsios, the 13th director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and Science Advisor to the President, made an astonishing claim that the United States possesses technology that can “manipulate time and space.”
The bombshell statement came during Kratsios’s address at the “Endless Frontiers” retreat—an event focused on American strength during times of technological upheaval. While most of his speech centered on lamenting America’s scientific stagnation, it was his off-the-cuff remark about manipulating the fabric of reality itself that captured attention.
“We are capable of so much more,” Kratsios declared. “Our technologies permit us to manipulate time and space. They leave distance annihilated, cause things to grow, and improve productivity.”
Wait… what? Did a presidential science advisor just casually mention time-space manipulation technology as if discussing the weather?

The internet quickly erupted with speculation. Reddit and X (formerly Twitter) users immediately connected the dots to long-standing conspiracy theories about secret government projects. Some even linked it to the Philadelphia Experiment of the 1940s—the alleged military experiment where a destroyer escort was supposedly made invisible and teleported.
“Sometimes the breakaway civilization likes to share the truth with the public,” wrote one commenter, suggesting this was a deliberate disclosure hidden in plain sight.
But what exactly did Kratsios mean by “manipulating time and space”? Was this a slip-up revealing classified technology beyond our wildest dreams? Is there a secret government program bending the laws of physics as we know them?
The more mundane explanation is that Kratsios—who, interestingly, holds a Bachelor of Arts in politics rather than any scientific degree—was speaking metaphorically about modern communications technology. After all, video calls do “annihilate distance” in a sense, allowing us to connect across continents instantaneously.
However, this wouldn’t be the first time government officials have made strange technological claims. The administration has previously encouraged UFO disclosure and has been known to dabble in conspiracy rhetoric.
So what do you think, Weirdos? Was this just flowery political language about the internet and smartphones, or did we just witness a government disclosure about reality-bending technology?
