DOES PODCASTING WORK FOR ADVERTISERS?
I had an advertiser on my podcast for a few months that stopped advertising more than a year ago (not due to anything negative, I was just switching ad agencies and podcast hosts). Earlier this week I received confirmation that they received sales directly from my podcast in June of this year. And not more than an hour ago, another confirmation that the same advertiser received yet another sale from one of my listeners just this month.
These sales are based on episodes from well over a year ago, but the episodes are still getting listeners, and still garnering revenue for the advertiser.
This is the example I will now be sharing with potential clients when they ask if podcasting is effective at generating sales. I’m still amazed at this.
